Wallets matter even where mobile money dominates
Wave and MTN MoMo are how most people pay day to day in francophone West Africa. But your customers also carry Apple Pay and Google Pay — especially diaspora buyers, corporate purchasers, and anyone used to one-tap card checkout abroad.
We support both worlds on the same hosted checkout page.
How it works
Apple Pay and Google Pay are available through our card acquiring stack (Stripe). When a merchant enables cards, express wallet buttons appear at checkout for supported browsers and devices.
Customers still complete payment on lomi. hosted pages — no separate wallet redirect or duplicate order flow. Webhooks and dashboard records match any other successful card payment.
What merchants need
Connect card acquiring in the dashboard and complete Stripe onboarding for your organization.
Enable Apple Pay and Google Pay in checkout settings once cards are active.
Test in sandbox with Stripe's wallet test cards before going live.
Wallet availability depends on the customer's device and browser — our checkout shows wallets only when the environment supports them.
Local methods stay first-class
Adding Apple Pay and Google Pay does not demote Wave, MTN MoMo, or SPI. Checkout presents the methods you enable; customers pick what they trust. That is why we built unified checkout.
