Collecting for other businesses

A platform that collects for other businesses can take the payment, keep its fee and pass on the rest.

Some businesses collect money on behalf of others: a ticketing site sells seats for a dozen organisers, a delivery app takes payment for restaurants, and a school-fees portal collects for several schools. Each time, the platform takes the payment, keeps its fee and owes the rest to someone else.

lomi. can run that for you. You are the operator, and each business you bring on is a member with its own account, so when you charge on a member's behalf your fee is kept and the rest is theirs. The checkout can show the member's name, which tells the customer who they are paying.

For now, this works in Côte d'Ivoire only, and we pay members out to a Wave or MTN number there.

You can rehearse all of it in test mode, inviting test members and running charges, fees and refunds before any real money moves. Going live requires our review of the platform and the fee first, and a member who only existed in test has to verify again when they join for real.

If you only ever collect for yourself, you do not need any of this, because a payment link or checkout already does the job.

lomi. is payment infrastructure for francophone West Africa. Accept payments, send payouts, and automate financial workflows with ease. To learn more about what drives our product roadmap, read our blog, visit our GitHub, connect your AI agent to our services, or just create an account.
