The payment link is the first product

The first honest product is a URL that takes money. It is not a demo for the store, the wallet, or the app.

The first product is a page that takes money.

People ask when the store comes. When the app comes. When the wallet comes. The first honest product is a link that takes money.

One URL. One amount. One receipt. Send it on WhatsApp. Put it in a bio. Drop it in an invoice. The merchant already lives there.

A link is not a stepping stone

A payment link is easy to treat as a toy. Something you offer until the real product ships: a shop, a terminal, a consumer app. That story is how companies leave the customer they can actually serve.

Most first charges in this market do not start in a cart. They start in a conversation. A tailor, a clinic, a promoter, a freelancer. Someone says the price. Someone needs a way to pay that is not cash in an envelope.

If the link works, the business works. If we treat the link as a compromise, we will keep building destinations nobody asked to visit.

Stay where the merchant already sells

Hosted checkout and plugins exist so pay can live in the shop they already have. That matters. It is still not a reason to hide the link.

The first charge is often still a link. That is not a failure of ambition. It is respect for how money actually moves: message, trust, pay, receipt.

We will not turn lomi. into a consumer place. We will not ask the merchant to migrate their customers to our brand so we can feel like a platform.

What first means

First means we ship the thing that collects. We make the receipt match. We make the status honest. We do not hold the useful product hostage to a roadmap of surfaces.

When a merchant is ready for a catalog or a hosted page that looks like their shop, those exist. They are not the apology for the link. The link is the product.

A payment link is not the demo. It is the first product.
